Checkups and cleans
A checkup and clean is the foundation of good dental health. During your appointment, we examine your teeth and gums, check for any concerns, and remove built-up tartar that regular brushing can't shift. For most patients, we recommend an appointment every six months, though Dr. Aldrin may suggest a different schedule based on your individual needs.
Fillings and restorations
When a tooth develops decay, a filling restores its structure and function. We use tooth-coloured composite resin, so the result blends with your natural teeth. Dr. Aldrin will discuss the material options with you at your appointment.
Tooth extractions
Sometimes a tooth needs to come out because of decay, crowding, or a failed restoration. We aim to make the process as straightforward as possible. If the extraction creates a gap that needs addressing, Dr. Aldrin can discuss your options for tooth replacement at the same appointment.
Root canal treatment
Root canal treatment is used when the nerve inside a tooth becomes infected or inflamed. The procedure removes the infected tissue and seals the tooth to prevent further infection. It is a routine procedure most patients find it no more uncomfortable than having a filling.
What to expect at your appointment
Your first visit starts with a thorough examination. We take the time to understand your dental history and any concerns you have before we begin. For most routine appointments, you can expect to be in and out within an hour. If we find something that needs further attention, we will talk you through the options before any treatment proceeds.
